Activa Sponsors Volunteer Bagging Stations to prepare for Fall School Nutrition Programs.

Since volunteers will not be allowed in the schools this school year, Nutrition for Learning will be prepackaging bags of appropriate food items for students to grab and go. To supply the necessary bags, two locations have been chosen to safely pack Student Nutrition Program bags which will be delivered to our participating local schools. A Volunteer Bagging Station will be opened at the Schwaben Club (Mon to Fri 8 am to 4 pm) in Kitchener and in Cambridge at 1139 Industrial Road – Unit 15.

Activa has stepped up and supported Nutrition for Learning by sponsoring the BAGGING STATIONS for the next few months since this is a new COVID 19 expense to serve our students as safely as we can.

We know this school year is causing a lot of anxiety and stress, not only for students and parents, but for the organizations that support our school systems. We have a strong affinity towards what Nutrition for Learning is doing in our community, and are pleased to support this very worthy and necessary service to ensure that our youth are well nourished while at school” states Tony Giovinazzo, Chief Executive Officer  at  Activa.
