As a major land developer with well-established roots in Waterloo Region over the last 40 years, we’ve been involved in the planning stages of many local communities and neighbourhoods including Huron Village, Vista Hills and Doon South. The longer we worked in, and invested in, our growing region, the more our interest grew in taking a step further in how these communities were being built, and in helping the people who live and work in our neighbourhoods.
For many people, building a home is a stressful exercise. By the end of the process, many homeowners feel overwhelmed or frustrated with the process or end results.

Our CHBA award-winning Design Studio holds finishes and options that cover a wide variety of tastes and preferences – and our Consultants are bringing in new and trending products every month to offer the best of what’s available in the market.

From our sales and design teams to our customer experience and site staff, every step-of-the-way our employees are empowered to listen to our customers and ensure your home is exactly what you envisioned. We offer a unique Pre-Drywall Inspection* – a chance for our customers to see behind the walls of their new home before the drywall goes up – ensuring full satisfaction. Several other appointments are also offered along the way so that the process remains stress-free and exciting.
Giving Back
Through strategic partnerships, charitable donations and our work with outstanding organizations and programs like KidsAbility, Habitat For Humanity Waterloo Region, Hockey Helps the Homeless, and the House of Friendship, we give back to the communities we call home.
We also believe in the power of play and the importance of physical activity for our current and future generations within the communities we build. This is why we provided funds to the Activa Sportsplex that now bears our name and have made monetary contributions for playground upgrades, like adding more swings, in several of our neighbourhoods.
Through our internal Dollars for Doers program, we donate to local charities chosen by our staff in thanks for their time spent volunteering with these organizations. In addition, through our Corporate Donation Program, a generous financial contribution is gifted by Activa, and then together as a company we decide where to donate it. This is something we all get to celebrate as we give back to our community together.
Recently, we also contributed funds to the Doon South and Vista Hills community associations in support of neighbourhood events that will bring our residents together, helping to build stronger community connections.
