Night Lights: A Pop-up Performance Series

The City of Waterloo has created a series of small pop-up shows for you and your family to choose from! Enjoy concerts, movies, performances, and more at the Public Square in Uptown Waterloo and Waterloo Public Library. Make sure to mark the events on your calendar because you won’t want to miss them! Neighbours Night + Neighbours Day

On June 17th, gather your neighbours and bring your lawn chair to Victoria Park in Kitchener to watch the first major outdoor concert since 2019. Neighbours Night is a brand-new event free to the community, featuring three national recording artists you can dance to all night! If you are still looking for more fun, Neighbours Day on Saturday, June 18th brings pop-up concerts right to the comfort of your very own driveway!

Cambridge Celebration of the Arts

If you like to keep it classy, attend the Cambridge Celebration of the Arts (CCA) in its 20th year on June 17th. You will be captivated by the many different styles and genres of art in the visual, literary, and performing arts categories. If you can’t make the event or you prefer to watch from home, you can enjoy main stage entertainment live on Rogers TV at 7 pm.

KW Multicultural Festival

Did you know the KW Multicultural Festival has been around for over 50 years? It began in the Kitchener Auditorium and when it started to grow, it moved to Victoria Park, where it still is today. Support this beautiful event with the whole family on June 25th – 26th to indulge in savoury cuisines, share music and dance, and shop in the marketplace while surrounded by culture and diversity. Canada Day

Kitchener

How does a concert in Downtown Kitchener sound? Grab your red and white shirt and make your way with friends and family to celebrate Canada’s 155th birthday on July 1st. There will be food trucks where you can find Canada’s finest poutine, a licensed area to sip on a cold drink, a concert with international recording artists, and games for the whole family to enjoy. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the fireworks! There will be a display of fireworks that will light up the sky to end your night with a bang! Waterloo

We have one question for you: “what did the snow say to the Rocky Mountains?” I’ve got you covered! We definitely don’t have snow for you, but the City of Waterloo has your Canada Day plans covered with an afternoon picnic in Waterloo Park! This community picnic will have local artists, food trucks, and GIANT games from 4 pm – 10:30 pm on July 1st at the park’s west side!

Cambridge

Riverside Park in Cambridge is hosting their annual Canada Day celebrations! Dust off your rod and start the day off by participating in the Fishing Derby – there are many amazing prizes to be won! Want to hang out and talk cars? In the afternoon there will be a Mopar Show N Shine where you can see beautiful, custom cars on display. Other attractions include a parade, a children’s area, a stage with live entertainment, and of course, delicious vendors for the whole family to enjoy!

On July 15-17, enjoy mouth-watering barbequed ribs, chicken and an ice-cold craft beer at Ribfest in Victoria Park. Doors open at noon each day, we recommend getting there early to grab a table with your friends and family and try your favourite meats from the best in the country! If that doesn’t satisfy you enough, head on over and try a sweet and delicious funnel cake from Heavenly Dreams, its sure to be dreamy! Don’t forget to sample some of Ontario’s finest craft beers while you’re there.

TD Kitchener Blues Festival

We are calling all Blues Fest Lovers! Incredible talent, killer tunes, and great times await you at this year’s Blues Festival. The event will be held on August 4th-7th in Downtown Kitchener. This year the festival will mark its 20th anniversary and will feature over fifty acts for you and your friends to dance the night away! Start planning what artists you want to see by visiting their website!

Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival 

On August 25-28, come out and support the 34th annual Busker Carnival in Waterloo. This all-ages event will showcase talented acrobatics, comedians, magicians, and even fire breathers! There will also be tasty vendors to try and games to put your talents to the test. You won’t want to miss your chance to ride on the famous ferris wheel to view the Region from above.
