KW Multicultural Festival

Did you know the KW Multicultural Festival has been around for over 50 years? It began in the Kitchener Auditorium and when it started to grow, it moved to Victoria Park, where it still is today. Support this beautiful event with the whole family on June 24th – 25th to indulge in savoury cuisines, share music and dance, and shop in the marketplace while surrounded by culture and diversity. Canada Day

Kitchener

How does a concert in Downtown Kitchener sound? Grab your red and white shirt and make your way with friends and family to celebrate Canada’s 155th birthday on July 1st. There will be food trucks where you can find Canada’s finest poutine, a licensed area to sip on a cold drink, a concert with international recording artists, and games for the whole family to enjoy. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the fireworks! There will be a display of fireworks that will light up the sky to end your night with a bang! Waterloo

We have one question for you: “what did the snow say to the Rocky Mountains?” I’ve got you covered! We definitely don’t have snow for you, but the City of Waterloo has your Canada Day plans covered with an afternoon picnic in Waterloo Park! This community picnic will have local artists, food trucks, and GIANT games from 4 pm – 10:30 pm on July 1st at the park’s west side!

Cambridge

Riverside Park in Cambridge is hosting their annual Canada Day celebrations! Dust off your rod and start the day off by participating in the Fishing Derby – there are many amazing prizes to be won! Want to hang out and talk cars? In the afternoon, there will be a Mopar Show N Shine where you can see beautiful, custom cars on display. Other attractions include a parade, a children’s area, a stage with live entertainment, and of course, delicious vendors for the whole family to enjoy!

Sun Life Financial Waterloo Busker Carnival 

On August 24th – 27th, come out and support the 34th annual Busker Carnival in Waterloo. This all-ages event will showcase talented acrobatics, comedians, magicians, and even fire breathers! There will also be tasty vendors to try and games to put your talents to the test. You won’t want to miss your chance to ride on the famous ferris wheel to view the Region from above.
