As the leading home builder in the Waterloo Region, Activa is taking the necessary steps to identify fraud in the housing market. To purchase an Activa home, all buyers will be required to submit a mortgage approval letter from a reputable financial institution. In an effort to assist you in this process, we have listed some helpful steps to get you started:

Please note, a reputable financial institution is considered one of the major six banks (RBC, BMO, TD, CIBC, National and Scotiabank); we will not accept mortgage approval letters from a broker. Helpful Tips to Consider:

  • A mortgage approval letter is required no matter the payment method you choose when purchasing your new home.
  • A mortgage approval letter is to prove your financial stability when expressing interest in a new home. You do not have to move forward with that same lender or financial institution listed on your letter at closing.
  • You will need a copy of your signed agreement with Activa when meeting with your lender/financial institution for a mortgage approval.
