Make the Most of March in Waterloo Region!

ActivaLearn

With winter winding down, March is the perfect time to get active and explore everything Waterloo Region has to offer. Whether you’re looking for ways to keep the kids entertained during March Break, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, or simply shake off the winter blues, there are plenty of exciting activities and events to check out this month. From outdoor hikes to community events, here are some of the best ways to stay engaged and make the most of March!

Stay Active!

With March Break taking place from the 8th-16th, it’s important to keep active as a family! Here’s a few of our recommendations for some activities that will get everyone out of the house and having fun:

  • If you’re looking for something a bit more rigorous or a bit more social, then you might want to join the Counterpoint Run Club! Hosted by the Counterpoint Brewing Company, this inclusive club offers a way to be more active in your community every Thursday, at 7pm. It’s a great way to make some friends and stay active, and for free!

Special Events:

Waterloo Region is as active as ever this month. Take a look at a few of our favourite events to keep you engaged locally this spring:

The Kitchener Rangers are hosting a large number of home games this month, facing off against Windsor, Guelph, North Bay, London, and Owen Sound! Watch to see if they can regain their standing of first in the Midwest over the London Knights.

The KW Titans are off to a hot start this season, ranking second in the league. They have a chance to take first with a win over the Sudbury Five on March 12th at the Aud!

Girls in STEM Day at the Waterloo Public Library: An inexpensive workshop being hosted to encourage young girls to pursue math and sciences in academics. Parents and children will primarily be working with mechanical toys during this workshop on March 8th.
