What floorplans are available?
There are numerous floorplans available in our Trussler West community. Each ranges from 1,021 – 1,463 sq. ft., and features 2-3 bedrooms. All suites also include air conditioning, all appliances (including in-suite washer and dryer), as well as one parking space. With so much variety, it’s easy to find your perfect rental at the right price point.

Do you have a rental model suite I can see?
Yes, we have a suite open for tours every Saturday, from 1:00pm-5:00pm. The suite is located at 582 Benninger Drive, Kitchener. We’d love to hear from you if you are planning on dropping by – just shoot us an email here to get in touch.
We’re also available Monday – Friday for showings, on an appointment only basis only. Please email us to coordinate a time that works for you.
When should I start looking for a rental unit?
We recommend you start your search 60-90 days before you are looking to move; however, we are available at any time to show you what’s available with Activa!
I am interested in renting with Activa – how do I apply?
Once you are ready to apply, please connect with our Leasing team by emailing rentals@activa.ca.
Our team will provide you with our leasing requirements, which typically include: a copy of your ID, rental references, letter of employment and/or a credit check.
Application appointments will be booked following confirmation of interest – and will be sent to those that have expressed interest, either through email or by visiting the model suite.
Your last month’s rent will be due at the time of signing.
What is required on move-in day?
- First month’s rent (if not previously provided)
- Proof of insurance
- Proof of utilities set-up
What are your rental terms?
Our leases are 12-month terms. Once the initial term is up, leases are automatically renewed on a month-to-month basis with 60-days’ notice required to terminate a lease (as per the Landlord & Tenant Board laws and regulations).
How do I terminate my lease?
All tenants must provide 60 days written notice to vacate prior to the end of their tenancy. The termination date must be the last of the lease or rental period if on a month-to-month lease.
Example, if you give the notice to end your tenancy on January 20th, the earliest termination would be March 31st.
Do you require tenants to carry insurance?
Yes, you are required to carry and maintain insurance on your personal property and belongings. This protects you in the event of a fire, flood, natural disaster, theft, or other unexpected situations that may arise.
Landlords carry and maintain insurance on the physical property, while residents carry and maintain insurance for their contents and costs associated with personal property damage.
How can I pay rent?
We require post-dated cheques or pre-authorized debit payments at signing of lease.
How do I submit a work order?
All tenants are provided with a personalized portal through Rent Cafe, where they are able to make payments, view communications and submit work orders. Work orders are responded to within 24 hours and work is typically completed within 48 hours after that.
Emergencies are dealt with through a separate process, which is shared with tenants on move-in day.
What finishes are included in my rental unit?

Is parking included?
One parking spot is included in your monthly rent. Parking is designated based on the suite type and a second spot cannot be rented.
Is there visitor parking?
There is visitor parking throughout. Visitor parking is controlled by the Property Management team. Each unit will be allowed a number of visitor parking passes per month.
