Activa joins Sustainable Waterloo Region as an Observing Organization

Waterloo, ON – January 26, 2022 – Activa is Sustainable Waterloo Region’s newest member of the Regional Sustainability Initiative, joining as an Observing Organization! Through their membership, they will gain access to a valuable network of like-minded individuals across the Waterloo Region. The program supports organizations who are looking to improve their environmental impact by aiding in setting ambitious and realistic sustainability targets.
“We are so excited to have Activa joining the Sustainable Waterloo Region network of leaders in our community,” said Tova, Executive Director of Sustainable Waterloo Region. “Activa has a fantastic opportunity to look at the impact of its own operations, to align this with the amazing work that they do with their Net Zero Ready homes and our team is excited to support them to make this happen!”
Since 1988, Activa has been building communities in the Waterloo Region. As a major real estate developer, they value innovation and continuous improvement. Activa’s team is eager to expand their sustainability focus to other areas of their business, and through partnering with the Regional Sustainability Initiative, they’ll gain access to resources and examples to inspire them.
