Job Title: Design Studio Receptionist (6 month contract)

Job Type: Part-Time, Contract

Compensation: $18/hour

Reports To: Design Studio Manager

Location: Waterloo, Ontario

Reporting to the Design Studio Manger, Design Studio Receptionist is responsible to process daily tasks in a quick and efficient manner and to provide smooth operation of the reception area, The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service during tours and browsing hours, assist customers with inquiries, and help maintain an organized and inviting studio environment. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow and consistently demonstrate Activa’s RITE company values.
  • Greets all customers and visitors in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Manages all in person and telephone inquiries from Homeowners and prospective purchasers, directing them to the appropriate staff member to assist with their enquiry.
  • Assists with inquiries from members of the public, internal staff, suppliers and trades, directing them to the appropriate staff member to assist with their inquiry.
  • Provide administrative support by composing and preparing Word documents, email correspondence, updating visitor tracking, data entry, opening mail, and sorting and delivering mail to appropriate staff member’s mailbox.
  • Preparation and maintenance of Reception Procedure Manual
  • Ensure the front reception area, meeting rooms and main showroom areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Responsible for the opening and closing procedures of the Design Studio.
  • Provide customers with water and beverages.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education
  • 2 years previous administrative/reception experience
  • Excellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Available to work the following shifts: Mon-Wed: 4pm to 7pm, Sat/Sun: 1pm-5pm
