Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $51,500-$53,000/year

Reports To: Marketing Manager

Location: Waterloo, Ontario

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Assistant is responsible for supporting the digital growth and development of the Activa brand. The Marketing Assistant will draft digital copy, administrate the company’s social media, maintain the website and other digital content and administer the print material requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create the written copy for email and social media content. Assist with writing other copy for print material and the website.
  • Assist in creating social media content. Monitor all social media accounts.
  • Assisting the marketing team by uploading website and other digital content, ensuring content is updated and accurate.
  • Administer the print material process, assisting with collection and review of requests and processing the print.
  • Maintain mailing list database to improve lead generation activities.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to generate and distribute content to drive traffic, engagement and leads (social, website, blog, etc.).
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary graduate
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
  • Strong administrative and organizational capabilities
  • Demonstrated versatility in writing, with the ability to adapt tone and style to diverse content needs
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office and other common software applications
  • Knowledge of home building industry is an asset but not required
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s License

  • Strong technical aptitude, including comfort with and exposure to social media platforms
  • Motivated by providing support to the rest of the team
  • Ability to work effectively within a group, as well as independently motivated with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn and upgrade skills and knowledge
