As many of our homeowners know, we have been busy over the past few months updating and renovating our Design Studio. Those who had their Colour Selections during this time or came to visit – thank you for your patience while we were under construction!

With this update, we’ve not only renovated our displays and created bright spaces for selecting finishes, but also continued our ongoing commitment to ensuring our available products reflect our homeowners by bringing in new and exciting finishes. Now, your new home can look like the ones on your Pinterest boards!
New Displays
Standard finishes may vary depending on what type of home you’re purchasing, but there is no shortage of style in any of our options! While all single detached homes come with granite countertops in their kitchens, many of our condo projects offer high-quality stone-look laminate countertops which offer a sleek look without upgrading. Our cabinetry options are also on-trend, allowing homeowners to have their dream kitchen as soon as their home is built.
Check out our standard-finish kitchen (shown above!) at our Design Studio, and ask your Design Studio Consultant which products are included for your home – you may be surprised at just how beautiful and functional they are! In the standard kitchen above, we’ve gone for a modern-farmhouse look, but you can take a modern, traditional, or transitional approach with your kitchen without having to upgrade!
Did you know that every single detached home comes with a standards package worth over $20,000? This includes engineered hardwood floors, granite countertops, basement features like a 3-piece rough-in and larger windows and more!
Homeowners looking for a sleek, modern aesthetic will want to check out our striking black kitchen, with high gloss cabinets and vertically stacked black subway tile, all balanced out with bright open shelving and a concrete–like caesarstone quartz countertop. The stainless steel undermount sink with an industrial faucet complements the built-in appliances to make this kitchen a modern chefs dream. The final look is sure to impress houseguests with its contemporary, yet functional feel.
This swoon-worthy kitchen has won the hearts of our Instagram followers, and it’s easy to see why! The provincial blue shaker cabinetry with glass doors contrast the trendy brass hardware on the door pulls and faucet, creating a visually dynamic twist on classic shapes and textures. Cambria quartz in a matte finish is displayed in both the countertop and backsplash, using the marble pattern to create a seamless look. The white apron sink is a nod to the traditional farmhouse aesthetic, while the herringbone floor is a modern approach to hardwood floors.
New Colour Selection Rooms
Most Activa homeowners get the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Design Consultant to select the finishes for their new home. During the Colour Selection Appointment, homeowners have the opportunity to select their flooring, paint colours, cabinetry and more!
Because this appointment can last several hours, we aim to make our homeowners as comfortable as possible. Part of this is ensuring our talented Design Consultants are design experts and knowledgeable about all of the available products, but another part is making sure that the space for appointments is a comfortable place to spend time.
In our new sign off room, we’ve brightened up the space with new flooring, a fresh coat of warm white paint, and built-in wall shelving to allow homeowners to step back and view their product samples. A spacious island gives homeowners and their Design Studio Consultant plenty of room to see their final selections together before construction begins!
New Products
Our new “What’s Trending” wall shows off our favourite new products, as well as design inspiration on how to incorporate them into your new home! Right now, we’re all infatuated with new takes on classic materials, like traditional shaker cabinets in a rich shade of blue, engineered hardwood flooring laid in a herringbone pattern to create visual interest, and hexagon tiles in well-loved materials like ceramic. These products have also been incorporated into our displays, and are available in most Activa homes!
